On 5th August 2024, Jhunjhunu Academy hosted “Van Somwar,” an annual cultural event exclusively for our school hostel girls, celebrated every year during the Shrawan month. The event featured a vibrant array of traditional dance performances, highlighting the students’ diverse talents and cultural heritage.
Under the guidance of Hostel Director Mr. Kurdaram Dhinwa and School Principal Dr. Ravi Shankar Sharma, who delivered motivational speeches, the evening was both inspiring and enriching. Vice Principal Ms. Saroj Singh and Headmistress Ms. Uma Sharma also played pivotal roles in supporting the event. Principal Dr. Ravi Shankar Sharma led the students in chanting “Om Namah Shivaya,” emphasizing its spiritual significance and fostering a deeper sense of unity and devotion.
The success of “Van Somwar” was greatly attributed to the efforts of our girls’ hostel wardens, who meticulously organized and managed the event. This annual celebration not only showcased the students’ artistic abilities but also reinforced the sense of community and cultural appreciation within the Jhunjhunu Academy hostel.
