Jhunjhunu Academy Wisdom City, Jhunjhunu

At Jhunjhunu Academy, the celebration of International Yoga Day was a remarkable event filled with energy, unity and a deep sense of well-being. This year’s theme, “Yoga for Self and Society” emphasizes on Yoga as a transformative practice. It represents the harmony of mind and body, the balance between thought and action and the unity of restraint and fulfillment. It integrates the body, mind, spirit, and soul, offering a holistic approach to health and well-being that brings peace to our hectic lives, aligning perfectly with our school’s spirit of holistic education and community spirit.

The day began with an inspiring address by our principal Dr. Ravi Shankar Sharma, highlighting the importance of yoga in maintaining physical health and mental balance. Following the address, students and teachers gathered on the school grounds, ready to perform the Surya Namaskar or Sun Salutation, a series of twelve powerful yoga asanas.

Under the guidance of our experienced yoga instructor Mr. Rajesh Sharma, students and teachers synchronized their movements, performing each posture with grace and precision. The Surya Namaskar is a comprehensive workout that benefits every part of the body.

The celebration of International Yoga Day at Jhunjhunu Academy was a resounding success, reinforcing the importance of yoga in our daily lives. By coming together to perform the Surya Namaskar, our school community not only honored a significant global event but also embraced the invaluable benefits of yoga for physical, mental, and emotional well-being. We look forward to continuing this tradition and spreading the message of unity and health through yoga.
